Harley-Davidson JDH-8 Valve Board Track Racer

In response to the rules that any motorcycle raced in national competition had to be offered to the buying public, Harley Davidson placed a price of $1,490 on its 1916 8-Valve 1000 cc V-twin - when even the most expensive bikes usually sold for no more than $350. The 8-Valve racers continued their racing success well into the 1930s.
