Infiniti Q50

Named a finalist for the 2014 World Car of the Year, the 2015 Q50 is the most important new model launches in Infiniti’s 25-year history. The 2015 Q50 features engaging performance, distinctive design, innovations in technology and unmatched levels of connectivity and personalization. For 2015, Infiniti also revealed that the Q50 is available as a Hybrid model, featuring one of the fastest accelerating hybrid engines and, at 36-mpg highway, one of the most fuel-efficient powertrains for its market. Base MSRP $37,150

The Q50 follows Infiniti’s curvaceous and swooping lines styling, to the consumer’s eyes it looks muscular yet sleek, stylish. Infiniti incorporated cues from the old G37 into the design including the double-arch grille and crescent-cut C-pillars. The Q50 sits on new, larger 19-inch wheels allowing for more rubber on the road. The Q50 and G37 share the same 112.2-inch wheelbase, while the Q50 is 0.4-inches longer than its predecessor.

Sitting down in the driver’s seat, one will notice the insane amount of technology that Infiniti has poured into this car. The Q50 earns praise for its use of noble materials, waterproof construction, and sleek design. The spaciousness of the cabin also earned the Q50 praise, offering occupants supportive front seats and a soundproofed cabin. Some people may think that the Q50’s infotainment system is too complicated, making it tedious and dangerous to use on the road, while other think that it is a breeze to use. Room enough for five people, the Q50 is equipped with eight-way power front seats and leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, and sports seats featuring two memory settings.

The 2015 Infiniti Q50 is powered by a 3.7-liter V6 paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission, producing 328 horsepower and 261 foot pounds of torque. Also available is a hybrid system borrowed from the Q70 Hybrid that pairs a 3.5-liter V6 with an electric motor to produce 360 ponies. Reaching 60 from a stop takes an estimated 5.5 seconds and will accelerate up to 145 mph.
