In competing with the likes of the Morgan Three-Wheeler and KTM X-Bow, among others, American ATV manufacturer Polaris has introduced the world to Slingshot.
This new vehicles is an aggressive, powerful take on the standard track toy.
The Polaris Slingshot puts to use an aggressive design paired to a three-wheeled layout. Other features include LED taillights, quad headlights, and an exterior roll cage.
Along with an aggressive design, the Polaris Slingshot features a number of interior options. These features include waterproof seats, a 4.3-inch LCD screen with Bluetooth, a six-speaker sound system, USB compatibly, and even a backup camera. It’s everything you’d expect in a street-legal car, except with a helmet.
Under the hood is a GM-sourced 2.4-liter EcoTec engine that puts down an impressive 173 horsepower to the rear wheels wheel, from the aforementioned six-speed manual gearbox.
Weighing in at only 1,700 lbs, the Slingshot is more than light enough to put down an impressive 60 mph run. Polaris hasn’t given us those stats just yet, but we wouldn’t doubt if it’s somewhere near three seconds flat.
The base Slingshot starts out at $19,999, but opt for the SL option and it goes up to $23,999.
