Renault Trafic and Master models already have the Ready4Work racking systems.

Developed for the standard length panel van Kangoo and its pure-electric Z.E. sibling, the Ready4Work mobile workshop racking systems come to boost the van’s versatility even further by offering an assortment of storage solutions primarily targeting small businesses.  Buyers get to pick from two kits, with both manufactured from lightweight, high-strength Dual Phase steel which should prove to withstand the test of time.

The first kit features a 9-mm plywood base with anti-slip coating along with a unit that has three sizeable too baskets. Upgrade to the second kit and you’ll also get a unit with shelves and a drawer module for additional storage capacity. Both kits can be fixed to the Kangoo’s existing load lashing points without having to drill into the vehicle’s structure, so the owner can easily remove them when not in use and put them back on when necessary.

Renault U.K. is already taking orders for both racking systems and has set up a starting price of £1,150 (VAT included) which can be part of the van’s finance package. Interestingly, these kits are covered by the 4-year / 100,000-mile warranty all light commercial vehicles sold by Renault in U.K. come with.

It doesn’t come as a surprise Renault has decided to enhance the Kangoo’s flexibility in U.K. seeing as how last year the company posted its best-ever LCV sales in the country, managing to deliver 25,458 units (up by 40 percent compared to the previous year.) 2016 is already shaping up to be another record year for Renault, with sales in the first half climbing by 21 percent to 6,618 LCVs.
