BMW M3 M Performance Edition

Available for the first time in the UK, the 2012 BMW M3 M Performance Edition is exclusively limited to just 30 vehicles. These special editions come with high specifications of standard equipment such as the Competition and Performance Packages, Electronic Damper Control with Sport Mode and a revised DSC+ system.

The BMW M3 M Performance Edition models come in the customer’s choice of normal BMW paint or their choice of three unique “Frozen” colors: Red, Blue, and White. With the Competition Package comes 19” 359M Style wheels finished in black, as well as a carbon deck lid spoiler, carbon front lip splitters, a full carbon fiber roof, and dark chrome exhaust tips. Other noticeable aspects on the 2012 BMW M3 M Performance Edition are the jet-black kidney grills and adaptive headlights. An exclusive option for these special editions is the high-gloss Shadowline exterior trim, a distinctively eye-catching trim surrounding the driver and passenger side windows.

Inside the cabin, BMW has not taken away from any of the luxury that consumers are used to. A Harmon/Kardon 13-loudspeaker system surrounds the occupants with the best quality of sound possible. All BMW M3 M Performance Editions come standard with the BMW Professional Media package, adding telephone USB audio interface and Internet to the already impressive line up of technology in these cars. Front heat seating, Park Distance Control, and a sliding armrest complete the package. Another standard feature is extended Black Novillo leather upholstery with the customer’s choice of Mugello Red, Lotus White, or Tobago Blue contrast stitching.

Using the 4.0-liter V8 from the base M3, the M Performance Edition produces 420 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. This power is mated to a 7-speed M DCT transmission with a variable M differential. Getting to 60 mph from a stand still takes 4.5 seconds and hits a limited top speed of 155 mph.
