Chevrolet 1/2 Ton Pickup

John Gunnell, author of countless automotive publications, coined the term "Wurlitzer" for the 1941–1946 Chevrolet trucks, which is a wonderfully descriptive term. The point is clear: these are attractive trucks with brilliant Art Deco chrome grille and trim. Much credit must be given to the Chevrolet designers for their work, which has stood the test of time. A 1-1/2-inch increase in wheelbase resulted in a larger, more impressive truck.

90 hp, 216 cu. in. overhead valve six cylinder, four-speed manual transmission with low-gear lock-out, floating rear axle with leaf springs and shock absorbers, and four-wheel drum brakes. Wheelbase: 115 in.
