After this, the U.K. and Germany are among the next filming locations.
The Grand Tour is packing up the tent once again, and this time Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May are coming to the United States. Amazon is now offering people the chance to see the guys live by opening up applications to be in the studio audience. If you want to be there, the company is accepting entries through midnight Pacific Time on August 8.
The shoot will happen on September 25 at an undisclosed location in Southern California. For those lucky enough to be on the guest list, it sounds like a great time. You might even get to interact with Clarkson, Hammond, and May because Amazon says “audience participation is key during the live studio recording.”
To apply, just go to Amazon’s page and answer a few questions. The only requirements are that applicants must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. resident. Unlike The Grand Tour’s earlier contest to be in the audience, the selected guests must now provide their own transpiration and lodging if they come in from out of town.
The trio recently filmed the first studio segments in a fancy tent in Johannesburg, South Africa. The studio is large enough to hold several hundred people. Europeans can look forward to seeing the guys soon because the United Kingdom and Germany are among the upcoming locations. Amazon’s order of 36 episodes over three seasons means people all over the world should get the opportunity to see them. The first episode premieres this fall on Amazon Prime.
