2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Blancpain
It’s only natural that there would be a 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Blancpain Edition. Marc A. Hayek, Blancpain president and CEO, co-piloted a 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP600 GT3 to the 2011 Amateur Class championship in the ADAC GT Masters series.
Lambo and watchmaker Blancpain came together with their engineering skills to create the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Blancpain. It serves as tribute to the success of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo racing series - the world's fastest one-make series.
The 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Blancpain Edition embraces its racing heritage. It has a massive rear spoiler for optimum stability. The engine cover was designed with maximum ventilation to keep the powerplant cool.
As with any recent Lambo, carbon fiber plays a huge role. Here it is a key element in the diffuser and the mirror casings. The Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Blancpain Edition is delivered with Skorpius wheels. Their yellow-painted brake calipers, made from carbon-ceramic composite, contrast nicely with the matte black paintwork.
The yellow of the brake calipers transplants inside to the interior, as does the use of carbon fiber. The interior of the 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Blancpain Edition is finished in black Alcantara with yellow accents and visible carbon fiber.
As one would expect from a Lamborghini with racing heritage, the 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Blancpain Edition lacks not for power. It has the 570 horsepower, 5.2-liter, V10 from the series Superleggera production car.
This special edition super sportscar has a dry weight of 2,954 lbs. This puts the power-to-weight ratio of the vehicle at only 5.18 lbs. per horsepower. Those factors combine to make it do the dash from zero to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds.
