The PUR-O2 line targets low fuel consumption and CO2 emission levels with Eco Drive, and special Eco Packs that include green tyres, low-viscosity fluids, aerodynamic packages and gearboxes with modified ratios.

Set for debut in Paris next week, Fiat has announced the new PUR-O2 line which will be available on the 500, Croma and Bravo starting this November. The PUR-O2 line targets low fuel consumption and CO2 emission levels with Eco Drive, the new ‘Start&Stop’ device developed by Bosch and special Eco Packs that include green tyres, low-viscosity fluids, aerodynamic packages and gearboxes with modified ratios.

Based on the Fiat 500 Lounge fitted with the 1.2 petrol engine, more than 10% reduction in fuel consumption over an urban cycle is possible with the PUR-O2 version. Also, the 500 achieves the lowest emissions in the petrol range with CO2 emissions of 115 g/km. Equipped with a Dualogic gearbox, which becomes available in January 2009, fuel consumption and emissions goes even lower than 115 g/km.

See press release below for further PUR-O2 details for 500, Croma and Bravo models.
