Oh Germany, you really get to have your bratwurst and eat it too, don't you? Unrestricted stretches of the Autobahn, die Nordschleife, Oktoberfest, and of course, access to all manner of sports wagons. Citizens of Germany will never know a world in which they can't get a handsome Audi A4 Avant, and then go have it turned into an absolute monster by ABT Sportsline.

The B9 Audi A4 Avant is a sharp looking car to begin with, but appeal increases with the addition of this new package from ABT Sportline—and not just from a visual standpoint. With ABT's ECU tune in place, the B9 A4 Avant, and regular  'ol A4 sedan, get significant power bumps. The 2.0-liter turbo gas-powered motor sees figures rise to 330 horsepower and 323 lb-ft of torque, up from an already respectable 252 horsepower and and 272 lb-ft of torque. However, it's the 3.0-liter diesel powered motor that you really should buy, considering figures are up from 272 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque, to a grin inducing 325 horsepower and 501 lb-ft of torque. Yes, 501 lb-ft of torque, in an Audi A4 Avant. Apart from the staggering numbers, the ABT package adds a few visual enhancements as well. Height adjustable coilovers allow you to make sure the car is sitting just the way you like it, which is important when riding on the 19-inch or 20-inch ABT Sportsline wheels. There's also an aero package available that adds a front lip, rear diffuser, contrasting front grille, and questionable fender inserts. RELATED: See Photos of the ABT Audi R8 V10

Audi pulled the A4 Avant from our shores in 2011, when the company realized it could charge more for the car if they slapped on some body cladding, a slight lift, and Allroad badging. It's hard to blame them for doing so, what with the rise of the SUV. But it still means we can't have nice things, like ABT's Audi AS4 Avant. Sigh...
