Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Heading to Production in Limited Numbers
Aston Martin execs have decided that since enough people were interested in the Vanquish Zagato, they should go ahead and built the car, thankfully. But with the good news comes the bad: the company isn't planning on making very many. A total of just 99 of the coupe will be built with delivery expected in early 2017. According to Autoblog, these cars are being made to order, so better get in line now if you want this beauty parked in your garage. The car first debuted as a concept at Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este at Lake Como, Italy, back in May, and was an absolute show-stopper. RELATED: See Images of the 1986 Aston Martin V8 Zagato
The body is made from carbon fiber and hides a 6.0-liter V12 that delivers 576 horsepower to the rear wheels. It posts a 0-60 mph time of just 3.5 seconds, making it a pretty quick car, if you're into that sort of thing. It will also have specially tuned suspension.
This is the fifth time Aston Martin has teamed up with Zagato. The first time was back in 1960 wih the DB4 GT race car. The most recent before this was in 2011 for the V12 Vantage Zagato. Let's hope there are even more team ups in the future.
