Limited Edition Mini John Cooper Works Challenge is for the UK Only
Mini just dished out a very special version of its John Cooper Works three-door hatch that will only be available in the UK. It will have the same turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine found on the standard JCW, but with some 'special' upgrades. At a price bump of roughly $12,600 over the standard JCW, it better have something pretty special. This will be a numbered limited edition model with only 100 units produced. Outside there are larger intakes for improved engine cooling and larger wheel arches for new wider tires. RELATED: See More of the 2017 Mini John Cooper Works Challenge
The rims on those 17-inch tires are lighter by 3.3 pounds compared to the standard rims. There's also a large rear spoiler. The car includes the JCW Pro Aerokit with lower front splitters, rear spoiler ad-ons, carbon fiber air intake and side mirror caps. It also gets a beefy JCW Pro exhaust.
There are grooved 330-mm front brake discs with four-pot Brembo calipers with Mintex pads made specifically for this special edition. A six-speed manual is your only transmission choice. Inside, you'll find black trims and the build number on the passenger side fascia. The car is available for order now and will debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this month.
