2007 Corvette Z06 Supervette is a Nightmare for 911 Owners
“Anything you can do, I can do better.” That’s a pretty accurate description of the frosty relationship between two world famous sports car institutions: the Chevrolet Corvette and the Porsche 911. Both are fantastic, both come to the table (or track, if you will) pretty evenly matched, yet both work their magic in distinctly different fashions. And the fans wouldn’t have it any other way. Something like this however skews the odds a little bit. It started life as any old 2007 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 does—with 505 horsepower and a knack for aggression. Except now it’s bigger, brasher, more powerful, and just the thing if you like giving Porsche 911s a bad day. No, this isn’t your neighbor’s old ‘Vette. This Corvette Z06 has been graced with a ZR6X widebody package, courtesy of the Corvette mad scientists at Supervettes. It’s been designed to push the C6 generation’s boundaries and provide a meaner stance, one more reflective of the V8 power that lives under the hood. And on that front, it succeeds brilliantly.
The ZR6X widebody package pushes the sports car’s body outward by 1.5 inches at all four corners. It may be harder to park as a result, but the raucous carbon fiber fenders, splitter, side skirts, spoiler, and rear diffuser ought to be enough for other drivers (and errant shopping carts) to leave you some space.
The custom work on this Z06 doesn’t end their either. The racy Corvette also tacks on a carbon fiber VIS hood, bespoke LED taillights, a massively loud Corsa exhaust with Kooks headers, and searing 20-inch wheels wrapped in Nitto Invo tires, for good measure.

As you might expect, there’s been some work done under the bonnet too. With a body this aggressive, the Z06’s stock LS7 7.0-liter V8 has now been built to push out a dazzling 700 horsepower, making full use of new heads and a new camshaft. Pour in the gas and you’ll end up with lots of noise and lots of speed.
Sound like the Corvette for you? This 2007 Supervette-bodied Z06 recently turned up for sale online, and you don’t need to be Clark Kent go and rock one.
