Rally-Bred Lancia Delta HF Integrale Needs a New Driver
There’s something to be said about the glory days of Lancia. Cars like the Stratos will forever go down in automotive folklore, for good reason. But trying to pick up a clean Stratos today for a reasonable price is more difficult than finding the Holy Grail. Thankfully, the wonder wagon that is the Delta HF Integrale hasn’t skyrocketed in price…yet. This one recently came up for sale on eBay, and it’s about as clean as clean can get. Completely original—or at least, as original as anyone will be able to find elsewhere, this Delta hasn't seen a day on the rally course. The driver’s side window regulator assembly and rear hatch struts have both been replaced, as has the A/C. RELATED: This Futuristic Lancia Stratos Concept is a Beautiful 'What If'
Aside from these few small updates, what you see is what you got straight from the factory floor back in 1990. The 2.0-liter turbocharged Fiat twin-cam still pushes out 200 horsepower, and the manual gearbox is as crisp as can be, so says the seller.
The car in question was sold new in Japan, where it was kept pretty much immaculate—only 41,000 miles on the odometer—until the current seller imported it into the U.S. (specifically Philadelphia, PA). Any and all maintenance issues have been addressed, including a rust-free body and a squeaky clean engine bay.
