This is What It’s Like to Drive an 800HP Electric Mustang

This is not your average Ford Mustang. This is not another poorly thought up restomod. This Mustang was artfully crafted by Mitch Medford and his team at Bloodshed Motors. Like most all other vehicles Mitch creates, this '68 Mustang is fully electric—and the final result is impressive, to say the least. How impressive? The Zombie 222 Mustang has 800 horsepower and a mind-blowing 1,800 lb-ft of torque. It will do 0-60 mph in a cool 1.94 seconds and boasts a top speed of 174 mph. That should do nicely for getting your heart racing, and requiring a change of underwear. RELATED: The Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 is a Track Monster

It's perfect for the track, but it's also street legal in its Texas home with a range of 40-140 miles depending on the battery pack currently installed. There are two electric motors under the hood rated at a combined 440 volts to give this Mustang its incredible numbers. They got those numbers without having to strip the car down. It has regular glass, a full interior, and a full body. It does have a Bilstein front suspension and 13-inch Brembo brakes to give it a little something extra. Sort of makes the Tesla look like a slowpoke. But what's it like to drive? The guys at Translogic found out first hand. RELATED: See Photos of the Original 1965 Ford Mustang
