Nissan Teases New-ish GT-R Supercar For New York Auto Show
In some news that you might not have expected to hear, Nissan is bringing an all new-ish version of its GT-R supercar to the New York Auto Show next week. But one question still remains: what can we expect from this new-ish GT-R? The sad reality of it is, it probably won’t be much. The final facelift for Nissan’s beloved supercar will make its way to New York, and hopefully give buyers a final reason to snag one before it officially goes the way of the dodo. Rumors of a completely new GT-R have been circulating for years, but we know that won’t come until at least 2018 (if we're lucky). RELATED: See Photos of the 2015 Nissan GT-R
But there is good news. According to Nissan, this will be the most luxed up version of the GT-R yet. “I want to make the GT-R more premiere…” said GT-R program manager Hiroshi Tamura back in 2015. “Not just fancy, but real premium, Quality. Handling quality, ride and comfort quality, NVH quality, some high quality in the body construction…we still have big opportunities here.”
Well, one thing we do know for sure is that the final version of the R35 GT-R will definitely feel like a “quality” product. Look for it on display at the New York Auto Show next week.
