Mod Moto's Ducati 750SS is an Orange Wonder
Spring is finally making an appearance, which means it's the perfect time to break out your bike (if you have one). If that bike happens to be this Mod Moto custom Ducati 750SS with a bright orange paint job, then the warm weather is even sweeter. According to BikeExif, this Ducati belongs to Johan Fahlnaes who is a bicycle shop owner in Gothenburg, Sweden. He already has a Mod Moto Yamaha XS500, but decided he needed something with a bit more kick. Why not a stunning Ducati? RELATED: Watch an Audi R8 V10 Race a Ducati, Because, Why Not?
He found a 1999 Ducati 750SS in decent shape and rode it through the summer before handing it over to Olof at Mod Moto. The build includes a new fairing that is a replica of a 70s Imola unit modified to fit the wider forks and hold a windscreen and headlight. A Rickman-style seat cowl adds to the bike's throwback design.
Upholstery from Bullitt Leathers is perforated and pleated as yet another nod to the 70s. The exhaust includes stock headers, a handmade two-into-one collector, and a Yamaha R1 titanium muffler. The whole project finishes with a bright orange paint job. The color comes from a 70s Porsche color chart and is accented by a frame painted in the original Ducati bronze-gold. Summer can't come fast enough when this is in your garage.
