Listen to the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo's Brutal Exhaust

In less than one week, the gorgeous Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo concept will become irrelevant. By that time, the all-new 2017 Bugatti Chiron will have been unveiled to the world at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, and have assumed its role as the world’s most talked about supercar. Given that Bugatti’s raucous designed-for-Gran-Turimso-6 concept has been such a crowdpleaser, its retreat into the post-concept car shadows is a somewhat unfortunate one… but it’s not leaving quietly. This video was captured at the recent Festival Automobile International’s annual concept car exhibition in Paris, at which the big “Bug” concept claimed center stage. During set-up and teardown, the Vision GT’s engine was called upon to shuttle the car around, and it sounds absolutely brutal. Take a listen. One can only imagine what full throttle must sound like. If the production-ready Bugatti Chiron sounds half as good, it’ll be quite the achievement. The new Chiron is said to leverage a heavily revised version of the Bugatti Veyron’s 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine, which hits a rumored 1,500 horsepower and 1,100 lb.-ft. of torque, and boasts technology like cylinder deactivation and electric-assisted turbocharging. Admittedly, it’s unclear exactly if that newly tuned W16 engine lives underneath this Vision GT concept. The years of waiting come to a close next Tuesday, March 1st, when the Bugatti Chiron is officially unveiled in Geneva. Stay tuned. RELATED: This Bugatti "Barn Find" Hasn't Moved in Over 40 Years
