#UberPUPPIES Is Back to Deliver Dogs and Cats to Your Home
Face it- dogs are the best. They always show affection, even if they leave a present on the front steps every now and again. And puppies are even better! They have the power to reduce a brawny symbol of masculinity (like myself, of course) to pure mush. Now Uber wants to turn people into mush via puppies, and its for a good cause. Next week, on February 3, the ride-sharing company will hold its latest installment of #UberPUPPIES, and the name sums it up. Uber wants to get a lot of shelter dogs adopted, and will bring one to your house so you can meet it, play, and decide if you want to adopt it. A pre-set 15 minute play time will cost $30. Last year, #UberPUPPIES resulted in the adoption of 100 shelter dogs. There was also the sister event, #UberKITTIES. The similar event resulted in 300 kittens being adopted last year. It should be noted that if you want to keep the puppy and kitty, you can’t keep it right on the spot. It has to head back for a bit and go through the conventional adoption routes, but at least you know its good in cars!

The program has already been underway in a handful of U.S. cities, including Atlanta, Baltimore, Cleveland, Dallas, DC, Indianapolis, and others. For this year, the program is expanding to Austin, TX, Amman, Jordan, and Beirut, Lebanon. If you end up requesting an dog or cat, tweet or Instagram it to @BoldRide and maybe we’ll put it up!
