Texas Luxury Car Crime Ring Straight Out of the Movies

Someone's been watching a lot of movies and they've taken what they've learned about stealing cars and applied it to the real world. A crime ring in Texas is driving off with luxury cars all while sending police on a wild goose chase. The scene opens at Texas Auto Direct in Stafford, Texas. This is a huge lot with 3,000 cars that run the gamut from Hondas to Porsches. The thieves did not opt for the Hondas. Instead, they made off with the most expensive cars they could find. Meanwhile, police were kept busy when a separate part of the crew led them on a high speed chase. It was a coordinated effort, not some small-time thieves trying their luck at grand theft auto. There's currently a $10,000 reward for anyone with info leading to the arrest of the thieves. They also installed new barriers and cameras at the entrance to the lot, hopefully deterring the thieves from making a return visit.
