Watch a Porsche 911 Carrera Flash Mob on the Streets of Kuala Lumpur

Flash mobs happen all the time. People burst into song at the holidays, dress up like Jedi knights, or wield wands like graduates of Hogwarts. Surprised crowds take pictures and a video eventually surfaces. It's not often that flash mobs involve cars, like this one with Porsche 911 Carrera's in Kuala Lumpur. The whole thing was staged right after round 9 and 10 of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia. Teams got together with their fans and created a flashmob race on the city streets. They went a step further by painting the street and then rolling out pit crews with all their equipment. People pose and take pictures with plenty of selfies as grid girls hand out flags to get the crowd cheering. RELATED: Porsche 911 Carrera 4: PTM Tech Drive Unfortunately, taking off at breakneck speeds through public streets is unsafe, so the video finishes off with some scenes of the cars taking a few laps around the track. This is the kind of flash mob we'd like to see on our way into work one morning.
