Uber Offers Free Rides in NYC Celebrating Frank Sinatra

Today—Saturday, December 12—marks the monumental 100th birthday of America’s favorite crooner, the “chairman of the board” himself, Frank Sinatra. Born on December 12, 1915 in Hoboken, New Jersey, Sinatra rose to worldwide fame with an undeniable charm and a timeless voice.  Today, in nearby Manhattan, Uber will pay tribute to 100 years of Frank Sinatra by offering free rides in classic cars from the ‘60s and ‘70s, appropriately nicknamed “Frank’s Fleet.” According to the company, Frank’s Fleet will include a ’66 Cadillac Deville, ’73 Buick Centurion, and ’76 Cadillac Eldorado, among other American classics—enough class to make you feel like you’ve got the world on a string. If you like your V8s big and your car bodies even bigger…this may be the Uber promotion for you. RELATED: Check Out Frank Sinatra's Pristine '89 Jaguar XJS Coupe

The special Uber cars will be touring Manhattan today from noon to 8pm, each playing the hits of ‘Ol Blue Eyes himself, including tracks “Luck Be a Lady” and “My Way,” as well as dishing out limited-edition Frank Sinatra memorabilia. With any luck, some of that Sinatra gear could be yours, provided you’re in the vicinity of “New York, New York.” As with many of Uber’s previous New York City promotions, which have included a group of Star Wars Stormtrooper Dodge Chargers, demand will likely be quite high. Can’t find a ride? Well, “That’s Life.” To unlock the Frank Sinatra option on the Uber app, input the promotion code “FRANKSFLEET.” RELATED: Uber Just Raised Billions of Dollars in New Financing
