Meet the 707-HP Hauk Hellcat Jeep Wrangler

Ever since Dodge rolled out its pair of Hellcat super muscle cars—the 707-hp Challenger and Charger—Jeep fans have been looking across the Fiat Chrysler corporate structure with envy.  While we understand that supercharged Hellcat engine will soon make its way into the Jeep lineup, that still can’t be confirmed, yet. But unofficially, the engine already has a new Jeep home. Meet the Hauk Hellcat Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. This colossus has been built by Pennsylvania's Hauk Designs and it houses that aforementioned 6.2-liter V8, which chucks 707 ponies and 650 lb.-ft. of torque to all four wheels. Yikes. That tremendous power can mean only one thing—smoky four-wheel burnouts. Happily, Hauk Designs has delivered the goods. RELATED: Take a Closer Look at the Hauk Hellcat Jeep Wrangler

As can be expected, creating a Hellcat-powered Jeep Wrangler wasn't a simple drag-and-drop engine conversion. Hauk Designs has outfitted the Jeep with upgraded driveshafts, Teraflex brakes, Bilstein performance shocks, 4:10 gears with locking differentials, and a new 4:1 low-range transfer case. The brunt of those 707 horsepowers will be felt by the Wrangler’s new transmission—a heavy duty Mercedes-Benz 5G-Tronic automatic. While it should be able to dash like a sprinter on tarmac, the Hauk Hellcat also has gear to survive off-road as well. New steel bumpers have been fitted in the front and rear, along with high-clearance fenders, rock sliders, and a torquey Warn winch, with a few different skid plate options available as well.
