Zombie Problems? This Craigslist Mitsubishi 4x4 is the Answer

They say you can find practically anything on Craigslist, and if you’re in the market for a zombie survival vehicle, well…they would be absolutely correct.  At some point in time, this jaw-dropping custom car was once a 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Today? Not so much. The fearsome olive drab Eclipse rides high on off-road tires, boasts zombie evading four-wheel drive, and even fashions a roof rack with a faux machine gun up top. Scary. Interested? Like the many odd cars of Craigslist, it won’t set you back too much—just $3,000. Then again, the neighbors may begin to ask questions. So what does $3,000 get you in the zombie survival market? Well, a no-nonsense mashup of Mitsubishi, Chevrolet, and Nissan DNA. Beneath the ‘90s Mitsubishi Eclipse body lies the frame and running gear from an ‘80s Nissan “hardbody” 4x4 pickup truck, which ensures this getaway vehicle has some very robust origins. Pop open the hood and you’ll find a relatively common sight among custom cars, a Chevrolet V8, which in this instance is said to be a 5.0-liter engine. Already the sum of its parts seems to tally well above the $3,000 mark, and that’s before talking about its ginormous footwear. The Eclipse zombie avoidance vehicle sports massive 22-inch wheels wrapped in 37-inch off-road tires—a fit made possible thanks to a four-inch lift kit. RELATED: Surprise! The Mitsubishi admittedly isn’t without its issues though. According to the seller, the battery gives up the ghost from time to time due to an unknown power draw and the front tires are said to go a bit soft. Those issues will undoubtedly need fixing if The Walking Dead ever shifts from TV drama to documentary. RELATED: A Long-Forgotten Movie Supercar was Found on Craigslist
