Pagani Zonda Revolucion Allegedly Sets New Nurburgring Record

We’ve all known it was fast…perhaps just not this fast. Although unconfirmed by Pagani Automobili, reports have surfaced that claim the Italian marque’s Zonda Revolucion supercar has set a new lap record for production-based cars at Germany’s Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit. That heady time? A blistering six minutes and 30 seconds. Again, while unconfirmed, that would put the rarified Zonda Revolucion a full 17 seconds faster than Pagani’s previous record setter, the 2009 Zonda R, and just 19 seconds off the all-time lap record, set by Stefan Bellof in a Porsche 956 racecar in 1983. The following photo of the Revolucion recently surfaced on Instagram showing both its impressive Top Gear lap time as well as the 6:30 Nurburgring lap.
