Pininfarina Just Built the World’s Most Beautiful Tractor
Over the years, the steady hands at Pininfarina have penned some of the most beautiful Ferraris ever imagined—cars like the svelte Ferrari 308 and the epic Ferrari F40. Icons without a doubt. But the Italian design house’s creativity doesn’t end with Prancing Horses. On Tuesday, Pininfarina unveiled this at the 2015 Agritechnica Fair in Hanover, Germany—the Zetor by Pininfarina concept—which as you’ve surely noticed is a tractor, and a very lovely one at that. The striking tractor concept was commissioned by Zetor, a Czech tractor manufacturer, and although it may not till any fields soon, it will shape the styling of the company’s future agricultural products. What a crop that’s bound to be. RELATED: See More Photos of the Zetor by Pininfarina Concept
Whereas the typical tractor is mainly a “form follows function” vehicle, Pininfarina says the Zetor concept has been sculpted to provide more sensuality, as is seen from the long sloping bonnet, powerful front fascia, and sinewy creases in the fenders. Delve a bit deeper and there are surely a few Ferrari-esque hallmarks too.
“It is a tractor with brand new styling that expresses the strength and durability of Zetor machines in a way that also communicates emotion and passion,” says Fabio Filippini, chief creative officer at Pininfarina.
If you weren’t convinced a tractor could passionately inspire you, think again. Along with its debut in Hanover, Pininfarina released what is surely the greatest tractor promotional video ever. A “tractor trailer,” if you will. Take a watch.
