Watch a Crazy Crash End With One Porsche Atop Another
Anytime cars race there is the potential for things to go wrong. It could be a mechanical failure or it could be driver error, but whatever the failure, it often results in a crash. Cars smack into each other and go spinning off the track in clouds of dirt and debris all the time. What they don't often do is end up neatly stacked on each other's roofs like these two Porsches. That is exactly what happened at the start of Race 2 during this weekend's Carrera Cup series in France. Joffrey De Narda and Jules Gounon got a little too close and their two Porshe 911s ended up sitting rather neatly on top of each other facing opposite directions. The assembled cars got into a tussle on a corner and Gounon's Porsche was pushed right up over the nose of De Narda's car. It doesn't even look messy in the video, but more like they were trying it on purpose as some little trick at a show.
The cars are perfectly balanced and perfectly stuck in the middle of the track. Despite a crash that looked rather tame, according to SB Nation, it was a bit of a trick to extricate both drivers without abruptly causing the stack to tumble. Definitely not something you see every day, or ever.
