Watch Daniel Craig in Heineken’s New High-Speed James Bond Ad
James Bond may traditionally order a martini “shaken, not stirred,” but in the latest promotional tie-in for Spectre, the upcoming Bond film, actor Daniel Craig is opting instead for a cold Heineken. And he’s not alone. Craig stars in a new James Bond themed Heineken advertisement, which sees 007 take to the waves to escape a group of henchmen…inadvertently towing along a water-skiing accomplice, played by actress Zara Prassinot, Prassinot gets pulled through a wedding scene, distracts a group of henchmen in sleek speedboats, and even pulls a move from the James Bond history books—the infamous “Oddjob hat-throw.” Though the hat trick doesn’t quite work, it is indeed Bond’s seafaring accomplice who saves the day in this 90-second action thriller. There’s even a digital cameo from Hervé Villechaize, the actor who famously portrayed henchman Nick Nack in the 1974 James Bond flick, The Man with the Golden Gun. Just don’t expect that film’s high-flying 1974 AMC Hornet to make an appearance in the new movie. For Spectre, Daniel Craig takes to the wheel of the clandestine Aston Martin DB10, and will be pursued by Jaguar’s stillborn C-X75 hypercar in the hands of Bond villain Mr. Hinx. The film arrives in U.S. theaters on November 6, 2015.
In addition to the comedic high-action ad, Heineken also announced another 007-themed promotion for Spectre—dubbed “Spyfie”—which will allow attendees of a special film screening the chance to take selfies using an orbiting satellite (350 miles above the Earth’s surface). That’s one long selfie stick.
