'Fast & Furious' Will Get Its Own Ride at Universal Orlando
The money printing franchise that is Fast & Furious looks to have a long currency spewing life ahead of it. Universal Orlando has announced a new attraction based on the popular movies. The ride, "Fast & Furious: Supercharged," will debut in 2017. Not so coincidentally, Fast & Furious 8 is set to premier on April 15, 2017. RELATED: Fast & Furious 8 Looks Like It’s Going to Be Bloody
Universal, in a statement, said the new ride will feature the usual hype of “popular characters, exhilarating environments, nonstop action and, of course, high-speed cars.” The adventure features the underground racing world made famous in the films, Vin Diesel’s headquarters, and some of the supercharged cars that have been seen on the big screen.
The experience ends with park-goers boarding special vehicles for an “adrenaline-pumping ride.” And probably overpriced photos at the end that they will just take pictures of with their smartphones to avoid shelling out $20.

In sad, related news, whenever a new feature opens, another must die. In this case, two must die. Saying “Beetlejuice” three times is not going to bring “Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue” back to life. Nor can you make it on the big screen because “Disaster: A Major Motion Picture Starring You!” is also getting the hook.
OK, I may have just mixed a stage analogy in there. What do I know? I write about cars—not the theatre.
