Lamborghini Might Finally Build a McLaren P1 Fighter
The McLaren P1, Porsche 918, and Ferrari LaFerrari are three of the most significant hypercars to hit the market in the past few years—what with their 900+ horsepower and 220mph+ top speeds. But one player that’s been noticeably absent from the hypercar race is Lamborghini. Sure, cars like the Aventador and Huracan are impressive in their own right, but only recently has the idea of an even hotter Italian hypercar come to light. The rumor comes from Road and Track, supposedly by way of CEO Stephan Winkelmann. We’re assured that we’ll see the new vehicle in Geneva early next year, along with two new variants of the Huracan. But what exactly will this Lambo hypercar entail? Right now, no one is entirely sure. Lamborghini has been extremely tight-lipped on the project, though a few nameless sources suggest that, like the P1 and 918, it will be hybrid, and cost somewhere in the six-figure price range. Not to mention, it will be pegged for mostly track use (like the Sesto Elemento you see here).
Hopefully we’ll have an answer to all these questions when it gets closer to a reveal.
