Chris Pratt's Jurassic World Motorcycle Auctioned Off For Charity
From the massive take at the box office, it seems like every single person on Earth saw the latest installment of the Jurassic Park franchise, Jurassic World. The movie stared Chris Pratt as a lovable Velociraptor trainer with a heart of gold, and balls of steel. In the movie, Pratt’s character rides through the jungle on an awesome matte green Triumph Scrambler motorcycle with his pack of trained Raptors—because riding around on an ATV with a flock of seagulls just wouldn’t be as cool. Throughout the production of the movie, the crew used three specially mocked up Triumph Scramblers for principal shooting. After shooting ceased, the three were broken up and now span a good part of the globe. The first Triumph Scrambler now sits on display at Triumph’s headquarters in Hinckley, England.
The second was given to Pratt as a gift following the wrapping of the movie. Pratt had told the director that if there was one thing he could take from the set, it would be the Triumph. Personally, I think Pratt wanted it because of the shot above, which definitely harks back to a similar shot of Steve McQueen on the set of The Great Escape.

Additionally, the last one was just auctioned off for charity.
The auction began on July 23rd and was held for ten days to garner as many bids as it could. The recipients of the auction are The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, which helps raise money for prostate cancer research. Over those ten days, 90 some bidders were counted and at the end of the auction, $60,000 was raised to help the charity fund more cancer research.

With the total box office income totaling over $1.5 billion, we are most likely due for a sequel sometime in the very near future. Hopefully Pratt will reprise his role and be able to do more crazy motorcycle chases.
