"Uber for Private Jets" Startup Raises $20M from Jay-Z, Saudi Royals

Uber has been a supremely helpful tool for those looking to get around on a budget, as well as an alternative to the traditional taxi. But what if you seldom step foot into cabs, and are a member of the jet-set, yet need that same kind of on-demand service for flights? One business might have you covered. It is called JetSmarter, and is an app that lets you book a jet in seconds, making life easier for the 1%. Traditionally, booking an executive jet required lots of paperwork and a lot of back-and-forth with brokers. JetShuttle lets you snag a seat on a previously booked private flight. Finally JetCharter offers private travel charters that are completely tailored to special routes and aircraft. According to the report, members pay $9,000 a year, or about $800 a month for unlimited flights to anywhere in the world. Those are then the seats that are sold to the users of the apps.
