Watch Richard Hammond Hold on for Dear Life on the Wing of a Plane

Top Gear as it was with James May, Richard Hammond, and Jeremy Clarkson is no more. People are both delighted and dismayed over this news, but there was one last hurrah for the old Top Gear trio. The season finale aired on BBC America July 13th with all the typical crazy including Hammond strapped atop a stunt plane. This is all due to the loss of a bet involving a Fiat that Hammond laments choosing as the plane taxis for takeoff. The final episode involves a Fiat 124 Spyder, Peugeot 304, and MGB GT. There is also an ample supply of beer, breakdowns, and a car show. This clip with Hammond is a nice slice of classic crazy Top Gear to say goodbye. RELATED: Watch a Bored Richard Hammond Herd Sheep

Hammond looks nervous about the whole thing, double-checking his many buckles and when he takes to the air he loses his mind. He screams his head off like a child on a roller coaster and eventually ends up holding on to the tiny seat on which his butt is perched as if it will actually keep him safe. Meanwhile May and Clarkson chat with spectators and pose for a few pictures. It's all very civilized on the ground while Hammond flies by on the plane, screaming his lungs out. Watch through to the end and listen closely. You'll hear those screams turn into laughter.
