Watch the Nissan Juke Nismo RS Tackle Goodwood on Two Wheels
Getting into the Guinness Book of World Records isn’t all that difficult if you have the world's longest toenails or longest nose hair. But that all changes when it comes to records involving cars. Not only does the danger increase, but also the magnitude for the record attempting to be accomplished increase. The stunts need to be bigger, more dramatic, and at faster speeds. This year, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, stunt driver Terry Grant managed to not only break one of these long standing records, but to absolutely demolish it by a fair margin. The stunt: fastest mile in a car, on two wheels. The last record was set four years ago, and the driver managed to pull it off in just 2 minutes and 55 seconds. Terry Grant beat that this year by a full 45 seconds, which for a man on two wheels in a car is absolutely insane. RELATED: Click here to see Nissan’s latest Juke R Nismo
Interestingly, the car Terry Grant chose to beat the record was a Nissan Juke RS Nismo, that appears not to have been touched by outside forces to help improve the rigidity, or really...anything. Just a normal Nissan Juke RS Nismo with a nice wrap on it.
To add just a little bit more to this story, Terry Grant — speaking to Goodwood Road and Racing magazine — stated that he wasn’t done with this record. He believes he can once again smash through the one he just set, and in the near future, he wants to go after his own record. What have you accomplished this morning?
