A 707HP Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat Reportedly Will Be Built
Dreams really do come true. Remember when we mentioned last month that there was a possibility that the Jeep Grand Cherokee might get the world-renowned 707-horsepower Hellcat V8? Well, according to Motor Authority's Joel Feder, it's 100 percent happening. Here's the exact word: "It's called Project K, and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles doesn't want you to know it's been given the green light for production, Feder wrote. "Not only has it been approved, but mules are testing the powertrain using 2016 Grand Cherokee bodies. When it hits the streets, the Hellcat-powered Jeep will be a 2017 model year." RELATED: Yes! Do you see that? Mules! Testing! Project K, as in project krazy kool kat is koming (that part is 100 percent not confirmed at all, not even remotely). Apparently, the Trackhawk will naturally have the supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 paired with a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive.
That combination will bring an estimated top speed of around 200 mph and possibly a sprint to 60 in less than three seconds.
