Watch Four $2.7 Million Ferrari FXXK Hypercars Roar on Track
If ever there were a time to turn the volume knob to the max… this is it. Not one, not two, not even three, but four of the rarified Ferrari FXXK hypercars took to the twists and turns of the legendary Imola circuit during a recent Ferrari Corse Clienti event. While normally a private affair, YouTuber Marchettino was on hand to witness and record the hypercar quartet’s sonorous fury as they blasted around the track. And it’s a sound you’re not likely to forget for a long, long time. RELATED: Take a Closer Look at the 2015 Ferrari FXXK Hypercar
There’s been much ado over the current timbre of Formula 1 car engines. Not enough sensory overload? May we suggest trying the Ferrari FXXK formula? Each of the LaFerrari-based FXXK hypercars sports its ancestor’s 6.3-liter V12 engine and hybrid system, which has now been cranked up to the nth degree and chucks out a massive 1,036 horsepower. Gone is any form of exhaust silencing, and frankly – it shows.
The price for this stunning performance? €2.5 million ($2.78 million). All 40 Ferrari FXXK hypercars have been sold out, and given their road illegality, they will likely all live the rest of their lives putting down rubber on tracks just like this. Not a bad life at all.
