Drumroll please. And the trophy goes to... LaFerrari! With its sleek no-nonsense styling, the Ferrari LaFerrari is officially the fastest hypercar to build in LEGO, pulling a time of just 22 minutes and 39 seconds to completion. The Porsche 918 Spyder came second with 23 minutes 29 seconds, and in a decisive last place was the McLaren P1 with a 26 minute and 15 second build time.
All three of these hypercars truly are marvels of engineering. They're each made of incredibly tough, high-strength plastic using a complex form of connecting knobs and holes. They're all hybrids too – each drawing power from unbridled children's imagination and a desire to learn through play.
Joking aside, they're incredibly complex, carbon fiber festooned, massively powerful machines. Perhaps someday we'll finally get to see that three-way track shootout. But not today.
