Ferrari F12 Gets Reborn as Touring Berlinetta Lusso

The Ferrari F12berlinetta is already quite an exclusive car in its own right. But to the finest automotive palates, even the company of a few thousand is too mainstream. That's where Carrozzeria Touring comes in.  The Milanese coach builders have been turning low-production Italian sports cars into bespoke creations for nearly a century. Their latest project, the Berlinetta Lusso, adopts the shape of the heady F12. Though it's allegedly just a concept, it may be the dramatic follow-up to Touring's scintillating Disco Volante. It is clear that Touring's new GT car adopts noticeably restyled and refreshed body panels. The treatment features a more rounded front fascia, a new clean-cut shoulder line, and a simplified rear end. Overall, the design tweaks give the Berlinetta Lusso a subtle retro appearance, and come as a remarkable change of pace from Touring's gorgeous Disco Volante, which bore little resemblance to the Alfa Romeo 8C it shared its bones with. Inside, the photos reveal a fairly unchanged interior complete with white and blue leather and aluminum trim accents. Given that the Berlinetta Lusso will officially debut this week, no power output figures are currently known. However, the Berlinetta Lusso will almost certainly retain the standard 6.3-liter V12 from the Ferrari F12berlinetta, which muscles up an already searing 731 horsepower, perhaps in a different tune. Touring teased its new creation in a video released late last month, and did so by drawing a parallel between it and the Ferrari 166 MM Touring, another one of the carrozzeria's storied projects. In the video, the car's late owner, Gianni Agnelli, provides a quote that accurately describes Touring's design mentality: “A well-done thing can be made better.” Check back later in the week for more information about the 2015 Touring Berlinetta Lusso. ______________________________________ Click Here to Read the Original Article on BoldRide
