LEGO Ferraris and McLarens Coming to your Living Room
Two months ago, leaked images surfaced on the web uncovering a new line of LEGO sets with a serious bend on speed. The revealed Porsche, Ferrari, and McLaren sets – part of an alleged LEGO ‘Speed Champions’ line – left a few more questions than answers though. Now, LEGO Group has cleared the air with an official statement about the sets, and just to keep us chomping at the bit, they released a few more teaser images. Set to go up for sale in March 2015, the LEGO Speed Champions line brings to life the toy maker’s partnership with Ferrari, McLaren, and Porsche, which will arrive in the form of seven different LEGO sets. The company says that the new racing line will ensure that there’ll be lots of tire squeal coming from the play room, but we’d tack ‘man cave’ or ‘woman den’ onto that list too.
The three main sets include a Ferrari support truck complete with a 2014 Ferrari F14-T Formula 1 car, a McLaren Mercedes pit stop with the current MP4-29 F1 car, and a finish line scene with a Porsche 911 RSR and 911 GT3 R Hybrid cars.

Four standalone vehicles will ship as well, and though LEGO has yet to officially reveal those, the Ferrari LaFerrari teaser image above and leaked images suggest we’ll get the LaFerrari, Porsche 918 and McLaren P1 hypercars, along with a Ferrari 458 GT2 car.
No word yet on a Senna vs. Prost set with vintage McLaren and Ferrari F1 cars, but the #22 on the McLaren suggests we could get a Jenson Button mini-figure.
