This Might Be the Coolest BMW i3 Around

Studie Japan and 3D Design have been working together since the late '90s. But now, they've teamed up on one incredible BMW i3. Their goal was to make modifications that would both push the chassis as far as possible and make it fun and exciting to drive. They started with a coating of BMW's Fire Orange paint and Recaro LX-F seats for the driver and passenger wrapped in bright orange leather and suede. The dash also gets a Fire Orange finish to keep the look from the outside flowing to the interior of the car. RELATED: See More Photos of the 2014 BMW i3

The Japanese version of the BMW i3 already starts three-quarters of an inch lower than the rest of the world's, but they lowered it another 1.2 inches with the aid of a specialized suspension system. That lower stance got some balance up top from a more pronounced front lip spoiler and rear spoiler. The front grille also got attention with special customization that includes blue LEDs. Though this is an electric car, Studie Japan retrofitted it with active sound. This is programmable to either an inline 6, V8, V10, or V12. So even though it's cruising in electric silence, passengers can enjoy the dulcet tones of a gas engine. RELATED: See photos of the 2014 SR Auto Group BMW i3
