Pair of Tricked-Out Ford F-150s Bound for SEMA
Each year the exhibitors at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas give out awards for the hottest car, compact, SUV and truck, with Ford claiming the award in that latter category for the last four years in a row. And with this year’s expo just over two weeks away, Ford has revealed a duo of modded F-150 pickup trucks it hopes will clinch the award for a fifth year on the trot. Ford’s first F-150 – a low and aggressive drift truck – comes courtesy of one of the most prominent names in the Formula Drift scene, sideways superstar Vaughn Gittin Jr. And if its hunkered down looks are anything to go off, it appears Gittin’s F-150 will be more than competent in hanging its tail out.
With a reported 12-inches of wheel travel, the 2015 F-150 boasts a Kibbetech custom suspension and additional air-ride components from Air Lift, all aimed at turning the four-door work truck into a drift- and jump-machine. We’ll have to wait until the show to see what’s under the hood though.

Ford’s second F-150 tacks on more professional racing credit as well, though this time it’s Ford Racing’s Brian Deegan. Dubbed the Deegan 38, the not-very-subtle off-road inspired F-150 flaunts the company’s potent 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost engine and a bevy of go-fast components from the likes of Addictive Desert Designs, Mickey Thompson, Fox Racing, KC Hilites, and many others.
Both hit the show floor on November 4th in Las Vegas. And undoubtedly one of them will walk away the ‘Hottest Truck’ title. Any bets?
