Thief Smashes Camaro Z/28 Through Dealership Doors
There’s no doubt the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is awesome. I just drove one about a week ago, and I can see why any lead-footed driver worth his or her salt would want one. But generally, if you want a Z/28, you have to be able to afford one, and you have to be willing to pay for it. One Seattle-area car thief wanted one so badly (or really wanted to sell one on the black market), that he or she broke into a local dealership and blasted it out the front doors, Hollywood-style. A private security guard found a mess of broken glass and tire treads at 4:30 am and called police. What wasn’t there was a Z/28 that had been parked on the showroom floor.
The car was found, badly damaged, in a driveway half a mile away. The suspect, however, remains on the loose. Presumably he or she didn’t think about the fact that driving through doors will damage a brand-new car to the point it a) loses some desirability, b) becomes worth less on the black market, and c) becomes noticeable to any local cops looking for an escaped Camaro matching its description.

If you want a Z/28, just buy one. Yeah, dealing with car salespeople sucks sometimes, but it’s probably still better than going to jail.
