Could TrackHawk Be Jeep's Version of Hellcat?
Fall comes and suddenly it's time to pumpkin all the things. Coffee, donuts, and even beer all get a little pumpkin. Now, Chrysler might be taking that same angle, but with an automotive twist. It's time to Hellcat all things! Rumors are swirling that a Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat might be on its way. It all comes thanks to a trademark that Chrysler recently obtained for the "TrackHawk" moniker. It seems like it should be something Jeep related since those are Trail Rated, and the folks over at Allpar are betting that it could replace the SRT moniker on high performance Jeeps. Now here's where things start to get really interesting. They go on to say that, although a Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat was supposedly not in the works, that there is a chance the TrackHawk could be reserved for that very vehicle. Just sit back for a second, close your eyes, and try to image a Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat. I know, right?!
Putting the Hellcat's 707-horsepower, 6.2-liter supercharged V8 into the Grand Cherokee would be insanity. Also, it would be genius and there's not a soul among us who wouldn't want to drive it. It's also a possibility that Chrysler just reserved the name because, hey, it's a cool name, maybe they'll want it some day. Nah, let's stick with Hellcat for all things!
