Join the Dark Side with this BMW M6 'Stormtrooper’

While the BMW M6 Convertible in standard configuration is hardly a runway model, Studio Vilner, a Bulgarian design shop, got down to work on one and frankly turned it into a masterpiece of epic nerdy proportions. “These aren’t the droids you’re looking for.” Dubbed the Stormtrooper, Vilner gave this older M6 drop-top a complete Star Wars makeover, inside and out. The most prominent touches find themselves up front in the new aggressive fascia, as well as in the M6’s tough-guy stance. The BMW sports new front and rear fenders, a snarly grille, bulging hood, trunk lid, side skirts, and a custom soft top – all of course draped in the standard black-and-white Stormtrooper color scheme. But the design firm’s enhancements don’t stop there. The BMW’s interior is treated to a brown-on-brown overhaul, which seems a bit of an odd color choice for a Stormtrooper-mobile, though looks good nonetheless. Carbon fiber, Napa leather, Alcantara … it’s all there, and very brown. RELATED: Check out what Vilner did to a Nissan GT-R

The company hasn’t listed any performance mods and judging by the looks of it, it appears to be an E63 M6, so we can expect the BMW to pack the same 5.0-liter V10 engine, good for around 500 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. All totaled, Vilner’s exterior touches give the M6 a strong widebody look, matched by two-tone 20-inch wheels. All it needs now are a few laser blasters. Pew pew, pew pew. On its site, Vilner lists its futuristic foot soldier as a one-off project, though some of the series’ more deep-pocketed fans might just be able to change that. Heck, owning this BMW would sure beat the hell out of bulls-eyeing womp rats in a T-16. RELATED: Darth Vader would drive a 1987 Buick Regal GNX
