Silvermine 11SR Track Car Draws Upon the Past
If you want an elemental track car with more than a few throwbacks to the past, Silvermine’s 11SR is for you. Unfortunately, this version of the track toy isn't meant for road use, but it's powered by a Subaru 3.0-liter flat-six that puts out 325 horsepower. It has rear-wheel drive, a six-speed sequential gearbox, and a limited-slip differential. If you do want to to drive it on the road though, you can opt for a 225-horsepower version that comes with a five-speed gearbox, and smaller wheels. RELATED: See photos of the 2013 BAC Mono
As any good track car would, the 11SR has transmission and oil cooling, an adjustable suspension, a FIA-approved fuel-cell, and a six-point harness. Its looks are what make it retro. That, and the lightweight carbon fiber bodywork that wraps around the frame.
No pricing has been announced, but each car will be individually numbered, and will take about six months to produce. Production has already started, so the first customers should get their cars in the early part of next year.
