Jaguar XE: Luxury and Looks in One Affordable Package
You really have to hand it to Jaguar. For the last few years the British marque has been seriously stepping up its game. This year is no different. The all-new XE sedan is just the latest piece in Jag's plan for world domination. Thanks to the help of some techno music and one very special helicopter, the Jaguar XE was unveiled in London for all the world to see. And it's stunning. Taking the BMW 3 Series head on, Jag boasts that the XE is surprisingly the most aerodynamic vehicle it has ever built. With a drag coefficient of only .26, that puts it in the same class as the BMW i8 and Nissan GT-R in terms of aerodynamics. But it's not just lack of drag that moves this pretty kitty; it's what's under the hood.
Buyers can opt for a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine (gas/diesel), or you can get a little crazy with the supercharged 3.0-liter V6 that puts out some 340 horsepower. Matched to that mentioned low drag coefficient and an eight-speed automatic transmission, the XE can scoot to 60 mph in just 4.9 seconds.

Other features include a heads-up display, in-car Wi-Fi, and the drivetrain will be rear-wheel drive with optional all-wheel-drive. The car will use aluminum extensively, especially in the drivetrain, cutting down on weight in order to increase fuel efficiency.
There you have it, the Jaguar XE is officially official. And better yet, it only starts at £27,000 in the UK (about $43,500). No word on U.S. pricing yet.
