Lexus GS F Arriving In 2016 With 500 HP, Allegedly
The Lexus GS F has been rumored to be just around the corner for years, but so far those reports have turned out to be nothing more than speculation. Now, if Autocar is to be believed, the GS F will go on sale in 2016. Let's all just believe this is true because who doesn't want this car to happen? The GS F is set to use a beefier version of the Lexus RC F's 5.0-liter V8 that will put out 500 horsepower along with 400 lb-ft of torque. That should make for a pretty fun drive, don't you think? It will also have an 8-speed automatic transmission and a limited slip differential.

Because numbers are fun, let's throw a few more out there for your consideration. The 0-60 time will likely by in the mid-four-second range and top speed should be up around 170 MPH. The price of this new Lexus is expected to be another impressive number at £80,000 or around $130,000.
This price seems on the high side given some of the competition. The 557-horsepower Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG is $99,770 and the BMW M5 with its 560 horsepower can be yours from $93,600. Does this add up to trouble for the GS F? We're not sure just yet.

The folks at Lexus though, (allegedly) justify this price. They claim the car will be full of lots of standard equipment to make the price worth it, but you've got to wonder just what it would take to get someone into the GS F over its competitors when the price comes with less power.
