Lamborghini Huracan Might Get Rear-Wheel Drive Option
Besides being prettier, the new Lamborghini Huracan is more potent than the Gallardo it replaces. It goes up to 610 horsepower from the Gallardos 570. But there was one thing that the outgoing Gallardo did have that the Huracan doesn’t — rear wheel drive. But thanks to a few not-so-subtle hints from Lamborghini, that might be changing. According to Autocar, the now all-wheel drive only Huracan could be seeing a rear-wheel drive variant as early as next year. And that would likely sit alongside an open-top spyder variant as well.
Speaking to a few curious journalists at Pebble Beach, Lamborghini CEO Stefan Winkelmann said, “We did it with the Gallardo so it might be an option. We are a four-wheel-drive super sports car [manufacturer] but why should we not do a rear-drive option?”

That, along with the introduction of the rear-drive Huracan Super Trofeo race car, could indicate that Lamborghini might be serious about this idea. Let's hope it gets here sooner than later.
