Ferrari 458 Speciale Spider Limited to 458 Units
If you’re looking to get behind the wheel of the new Ferrari 458 Speciale Spider, then you better act fast as it looks like there will only be 458 produced. Just enough to match its badge, of course. The report comes from 4WheelNews, which also says that the Speciale Spider name is likely to be dropped when the car finally sees production. The car made its debut at a private event at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, with a worldwide debut possible at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in October. This Ferrari will feature two new wheel designs including one with stripes that are different than what’s found on the coupe version of the car. This will be the fastest open-top sports model Ferrari that (a lot) of your money can buy, but only until the LaFerrari Spider hits the roads. PHOTOS: See More of the 2013 Ferrari 458 Speciale
The interior of the 458 will get new sports seats and carbon fiber mats, but what it won’t get is the see through engine cover that’s on the coupe. That hidden engine will likely be the same, though, with a 4.5-liter V8 engine delivering 398 lb-ft of torque that will rocket you from 0-62 mph in just about 3 seconds.

Those of you fortunate enough to live where there are no speed limits or where track access is plentiful, you can push it even further with a 0-124 mph time of 9.1 seconds and top speed of about 202 mph.
