McLaren 650S Sprint Races Towards Pebble Beach Debut
We already knew that McLaren was in the process of bringing some bold new vehicles to Pebble Beach. But we had no idea that alongside a track-focused P1 GTR we’d see this awe-inspiring 650S Sprint. Like the P1 GTR, the McLaren 650S Sprint is a track-only version of a standard road-going McLaren. It uses the same 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 found on the 650S, but it puts on a fancy new racing suit that shares a number of similarities with the 650S GT3 race car. This new motorsports getup sheds a few pounds to make it even more nimble and more precise on the track. The ride height has also been lowered, there’s a new set of brakes, and the lightweight wheels are wrapped in Pirelli racing slicks.
While the outside gets a full makeover, the inside gets completely gutted to carry on the whole lightweight theme. Two carbon fiber racing seats have been fitted, along with an FIA-approved roll cage, a full six-point harness and a fire extinguisher. Just like any good supercar should have.

The 650S Sprint will makes its world debut later this week at Pebble Beach wearing a white and Tarocco Orange color scheme, a nod to the GT3. As for price, buyers will be able to pick up the 650S Sprint for £198,000 ($332,000) at any McLaren dealership worldwide.
